What we hold, how the AI works and where it stops, how we keep things secure, and what MEKSI is not.
MEKSI helps you practise consultations. The virtual patients, their responses and the reports you get back are training material. They are not medical advice and not a diagnosis, and MEKSI is not a medical device. Never use anything from MEKSI to make a decision about a real patient.
The virtual patient is generated by AI. It answers your questions in natural language and adapts to how you run the consultation. Your performance report is also produced by AI, scored against a clinical rubric.
AI can be wrong. A virtual patient may give a response a real patient would not, and a report may miss something or mark it differently to how your examiner would. Treat MEKSI as practice, apply your own clinical judgement, and check anything important against your course material and supervisors.
To run MEKSI we hold the email address you sign up with, the packs you own, your progress, and the consultations you complete. We use your consultation data to run the patient during your session and to produce your performance report and progress.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
If you have a question about how your consultation data is processed, stored or retained, email info@meksi.com and we will answer it.
The site runs over HTTPS. Payment card data never touches our servers; it goes directly to Stripe. Accounts are protected by Clerk's authentication. We limit who can access data internally to the people who need it to run the service.
We want MEKSI to be usable by everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader or high-contrast settings. We are working towards WCAG 2.1 AA. If you hit a barrier using MEKSI, tell us at info@meksi.com and we will treat it as a priority.
